Boston Marathon Team Still Forming!

describe the image

It is a pleasure to report that John Hancock is once again giving Trinity Boston Foundation five bibs for the Boston Marathon. We need to identify runners who will use them to raise money and attract new donors to the Trinity Boston Foundation. Last year, five runners raised $28,000. This year, our goal is $50,000. But of course it isn’t just about the money. The opportunity – to run the Boston marathon – is one we hope all of you will consider. Are you tempted?

About Us

Trinity Boston Foundation is part of Trinity Church in Copley Square, formed to work in partnership on behalf of the people of Boston.  The Foundation delivers high quality community programs that impact the lives of individuals and families throughout the city. Our partnerships strengthen our work and make it possible for us to get involved in systemic issues such as youth violence, quality education, and affordable mental health care.

There are many ways to get involved – we are always looking for program participants, volunteers, donors, partner organizations.  Read more about us, follow us on Facebook and Twitter, sign up for our email newsletter, join us for a concert or our Bostonians for Youth events. We look forward to welcoming you to our growing community.

CELEBRATING SUCCESS!

This summer, 140 Boston students came together at TEEP (Trinity Education for Excellence Program).  On August 6th, our seventh graders formally graduated into the TEEP program after the completion of their first summer.

We invite you to watch video highlights of the TEEP Summer Program Celebration.

TEEP - TRINITY EDUCATION FOR EXCELLENCE PROGRAM - SUMMER GRADUATION 2011.m4v
TEEP - TRINITY EDUCATION FOR EXCELLENCE PROGRAM - SUMMER GRADUATION 2011.m4v

The graduation exemplifies what TEEP is all about - a foundation of core values, a commitment to excellence, a safe community with connections and opportunities that help youth succeed as they journey to and through college and become successful adults.

As you watch the video, listen for these reflections from our students:

TEEP taught me to be myself, to explore new things and to strive for excellence.

And I would never give that knowledge away for anything in the world.

TEEP is a place where I knew I belonged.

My favorite part of TEEP is that we are a community that is only as strong as our weakest link; but, I have to say that all the bumps in the road are polished by all of us reaching for excellence together.

For our 7th graders, the graduation was the steppingstone to five more years of TEEP learning, empowerment, positive influences and success.

Please join us as we celebrate success!
