The vision
The Trinity Boston Foundation creates a place where the city comes together — literally, in our landmark building on Copley Square, and figuratively, through service programs that reach deep into the community. In all that we do, we look for partners — schools, non-profit organizations, concerned citizens, government agencies, corporations, and foundations — finding ways to unite our resources and strengths for the benefit of all Bostonians.
At the same time, the Trinity Boston Foundation works to establish and maintain our Copley Square building as a home for civic interaction, where the people of the city gather to celebrate, collaborate, and find common ground.
Our programs
Two vital programs, the Trinity Education for Excellence Program (TEEP) and the Trinity Boston Counseling Center (TBCC) were initially formed as outreach ministries of Trinity Church, are now managed by the Trinity Boston Foundation and supported by a diverse group of funders. Both programs are built on a model of long-term engagement and tailored support for individual people.
Our partnerships
We are often asked why Trinity Church needs partners and why we created an operating foundation in the first place. The answer is two-fold. First, we are ambitious in our dreams for Boston and we know that no single organization can create systems-level change. Second, we believe that the process of building partnerships - with individuals, non-profit organizations, government agencies, corporations, and foundations - strengthens the social fabric of the city. It has been said that Boston is "resource rich and coordination poor." In all of its activities, the Trinity Boston Foundation aims to increase coordination through projects, programs, and relationships that unite us all.
Building community
The Trinity Boston Foundation extends the public hospitality of Trinity Church to our neighbors and visitors. The Foundation also works to maintain and preserve the Church's buildings so that they can continue to be a civic and community resource for Boston.
