Staff | Staff Foundation Staff Elaine Chow, Associate Director — Elaine has worked for many years in the nonprofit sector for organizations including The Philharmonic Society of Orange County, the Episcopal Diocese of MA, and Common Good Ventures, a nonprofit consulting firm. She has also worked as a consultant to several organizations such as Cambridge College (as a part of New Sector Alliance), Longy School of Music, and the YWCA of Greater Portland. Elaine holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a BA from Bates College. TEEP Staff Elizabeth Craven, Intern — Elizabeth is a senior sociology and criminal justice major at the University of Massachusetts Boston. In addition to serving as an intern at TEEP she also serves as a youth mentor for Trinity Church’s 7th & 8th grade youth group. She looks forward to graduating and her upcoming nuptials in September. Jessica Leffler, Middle School Program Coordinator — Jessica has been an Art Teacher and Youth Mentor with TEEP since 2001. She has also served as TEEP’s After School Program Coordinator since September 2007. In addition, Jessica has worked with TBCC since 2003 to run Art Therapy groups with court-involved youth. Jessica holds a BA from Vanderbilt University and an MA in Mental Health Counseling, with an Art Therapy specialization, from Lesley University. Alexizendria (Zena) Link, Intern — Zena Link is studying at the Episcopal Divinity School for a Masters degree in Divinity. She has been a consultant, trainer, activist and facilitator on peace, justice and equity issues on a community, state and national level. She has previously worked with nonprofit, faith-based and community organizations in strategic planning, program development, fundraising, public education, coalition building, and advocacy training. Currently in addition to her studies, Zena is teaching a youth program at Christ Church Cambridge and is the co-program director of the Healthy Environment Leadership Project for the Mass Council of Churches, EDS and Clean Water Action. TBCC Staff Judy Bruen, Clinical Intern — Judy is studying at Boston College in the dual degree Master’s program in Pastoral Ministry and Social Work. She worked previously as a case manager at Catholic Family Services in Hartford, CT. Judy is also a nationally certified personal trainer. Elizabeth Case, PhD, LICSW, Clinical Supervisor — Betty is a Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing psychotherapy for over thirty years. Trained in group, marital, and family therapy, she has a strong interest, both as a therapist and social activist, in working with people who have experienced loss, trauma, and injustice. Betty has been with the TBCC since its opening in 2002 and currently serves as both a consultant and volunteer. James Donegan, ofm cap, Clinical Intern — Jim is a Capuchin Franciscan brother who is currently studying at Boston College for a Master’s degree in Social Work. Additionally, he holds a Master of Theological Studies from Weston Jesuit School of Theology and a BS in Computer Science from St. Michael's College in Vermont. He previously worked as a software engineer, then as a computer teacher in the inner city. Glynn Forkey, MA, Clinical Companion — Glynn Forkey is a recent graduate of Boston College's dual degree Master's program in Pastoral Ministry and Social Work. She was a clinical intern at TBCC from June 2006 - May 2007 and now joins the staff part-time as a residential case manager at Yearwood House and an individual pastoral counselor at TBCC. Glynn has a particular interest in Narrative Therapy and its unique approach to accompanying, witnessing to, and building community among people affected by homelessness, substance abuse, and trauma. Nate Harris, MA, LICSW, Clinical Coordinator for Youth Programs — Nate has more than ten years experience working with at-risk youth. In 2003, he started TBCC’s partnership with the MA Department of Youth Services (DYS), a relationship that today involves individual counseling and group programs that give youth opportunities to be empowered and resilient. Nate developed and leads the Street Potential arts program at DYS. In addition, he coordinates the Boys and Girls Empowerment Groups at TEEP. Nate holds a dual Master’s degree in Social Work and Practical Theology from Boston College and completed a Post Grad Fellowship at the Danielsen Institute in 2005. Jessica Leffler, MA, Art Therapist — see bio above. Jane Ross, Clinical Intern — Jane is studying at Cambridge College for her M.Ed. in Mental Health and Addiction Counseling. She also holds a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and an MBA from Northeastern University. Jane has had management experience and is a professional organizer and landlord. Colleen Sharka, MA, Clinical & Operations Coordinator — Colleen has been with TBCC since 2003. In addition to seeing individual clients, she co-facilitates both the Internship Program and the Self-Care & Resilience Training program. She is particularly interested in deepening the understanding and practice of the integration of spirituality and therapy. Colleen has an MA in Counseling Psychology from Framingham State College and is a Certified Spiritual Director. She previously worked in Accounting and Business Consulting for non-profits and as Pastoral Administrator at The Paulist Center Community of Boston. Volunteer Clinicians: |
