MusiciansCorps Roundtable – May 20, 2008
On Tuesday, May 20th, Trinity Boston Foundation hosted more than 40 education, arts, and civic leaders to discuss the launch of a "musical Peace Corps" called MusicianCorps. This national service program would place musicians in underserved schools and communities to develop more successful youth. Pending local funding, Boston will pilot the program beginning in September 2009. Click here for our mention on the AmericaForward blog.

Bostonians for Youth – April 15, 2008
On Tuesday, April 15, 2008, more than 180 people gathered at the Artists for Humanity EpiCenter in Boston for the first annual Bostonians for Youth dinner. The event celebrated the Trinity Boston Foundation’s partnerships with organizations across the city, featured performances and speeches from our youth, included a silent auction, and raised support and awareness about our youth programs, including TEEP and TBCC’s Street Potential.

The event raised more than $60,000 in support of youth programming at the Foundation.

Boston Welcomes Dr. Carol Johnson – September 25, 2007
On September 25, 2007, we did just that by partnering with City Year, Boston Symphony Orchestra, and Boston Children’s Chorus to welcome Dr. Carol Johnson as the new Superintendent of Boston Public Schools. More than 50 nonprofit leaders around Boston committed their support to Boston public schoolchildren by serving on the host committee. More than 800 people gathered at Trinity Church for an evening of inspiration, commitment, and community.
