Bostonians for Youth Gala

Look How Far We’ve Come Together

Bostonians for Youth is Trinity Boston Foundation’s annual gala dinner and call-to-action to unlock opportunity and change the odds for the youth of Boston. Funds raised at the dinner support our direct-service programs that promote social and emotional well-being and development of young people, and our work helping other youth-serving organizations do so as well. Event supporters enabled powerful connections and life-changing relationships like that of Del and Quay, featured in the video below. For this, we are so grateful. Our 10th Anniversary Bostonians for Youth Gala will be held on March 29, 2017.

Bostonians for Youth, Trinity Boston Foundation’s annual fundraising gala and call-to-action, supports the Foundation’s programs and ongoing operations. The evening features our remarkable young people and staff alongside partners who work tirelessly to eliminate youth violence, unlock opportunity, and change the odds for Boston’s youth. Every day, the lives of Bostonians are impacted by youth violence. According to the most recent Boston Youth survey:

  • 68% of young people feel it is fairly easy or easy for young people in their neighborhood to get a gun
  • 69% have witnessed violent acts
  • 24% have witnessed a shooting

Our Vision

  • A city with safe streets and excellent schools
  • A city strengthened by personal relationships that crisscross our neighborhoods, connecting Back Bay to Mattapan, Roxbury to Beacon Hill
  • A city where all children have the opportunity to achieve their full potential
  • A city where no one’s life is cut short by an act of violence

Our Goals

  • To raise funds that support Trinity’s ongoing efforts to build resilient young leaders, strong families and safe communities
  • To increase collaboration and coordination in the non-profit sector
  • To build public and awareness and commitment to eliminating youth violence in Boston
